Twelfth Night

Shakespeare’s most popular and beloved comedy, (described as his ‘perfect play’) is being bought to the Wyllyotts stage by PBTC.

Shipwrecked twins are lost among love-sick aristocrats, unruly servants, mischievous pleasure seekers, clowns, and a cross-dressing steward. A great storm has caused a terrible shipwreck. A brave, passionate woman named Viola is swept onto the shore of a mysterious island called Illyria. Finding herself alone in this strange and colourful land, she decides to assume the identity of her supposedly-drowned twin brother Sebastian, and goes to work in the household of Duke Orsino. Viola soon finds herself falling in love with Orsino. But when Orsino sends her to deliver his love messages to the Lady Olivia, Olivia herself falls for the beautiful young Viola, believing her to be a man. The love triangle is complete: Viola loves Orsino, Orsino loves Olivia, and Olivia loves Viola. Meanwhile, Sebastian, who is alive after all but believes Viola to be dead, also washes up on the shores of Illyria. With music as the bittersweet "food of love," all converge and conspire in this comic journey of love and gender confusion!

PBTC would like to invite you to join them for a fast-paced, fantasy adventure from start-to-finish.  A bonkers, crazy, daft, dotty, kooky, manic, wacky, explosion of colour, music, mayhem, laughs, tears, romance, love, death, anarchy, destruction, pandemonium, and yellow tights!

This is a non-professional production by PBTC.  The ticket price includes a Venue Levy of £1 per ticket.  There is no Booking Fee.
