Signing apprentice forms in 1967, Steve Perryman made hisleague debut in 1969 as a midfielder but he would spend most of his career inthe famous white shirt in defence. He was named Spurs captain in 1975.
The most loyal player in the Tottenham’s history, Steve playedover 850 matches in all competitions and holds the record for most appearancesin the league, FA Cup, League Cup and Europe. In a glittering career he alsowon more medals than any other player at the Lane with two League Cups, two UEFACups and two FA Cups plus the honour of the Football Writers' Player of theYear in 1982.
After leaving White Hart LaneSteve moved to Oxford United and then to Brentford as player-manager, beforeretiring in 1990. Steve is currentlyDirector of Football at Exeter City F.C.
During the evening Steve andMicky will talk candidly about their playing days at White Hart Lane and theiropinions on the game in general, not to mention the current Tottenhamteam.
