Kathy Lette

Thurs 2nd Nov  8pm
Tickets:  £16

“Women are each other’s human wonder bras – uplifting, supportive and making each other look bigger and better.” So says Kathy Lette, funny, feminist author, who invites you to her new show, Girls’ Night Out.

It’s a psychological strip tease taking us from Puberty Blues to Menopause Blues, with tales of love, lust, men, marriage, pregnancy, childbirth, mastitis, sexist bosses, teenage-daughter-wrangling, ageing, toy boys, making the Queen laugh, hiding Julian Assange in her attic, tongue kissing Prince William and Close Encounters of the George Clooney Kind, en route.

She also talks poignantly about the trials, tribulations and hilarity of raising a child on the autistic spectrum, from the times Jules came home from school with a sign sticky-taped to his back saying “Kick me I’m a retard" to his success playing Jason on Holby City.

So, grab your girlfriends and come along. Wit, warmth and full frontal frankness, guaranteed. (Men, attend at your own risqué!)

The Warren are an amateur group who've been performing pantomimes since 1949 so they have lots of experience! They write their own pantomimes and musical shows as well as having their own live band.

Since 2009 their pantomimes at The Bull Theatre in Barnet (including The Snow Queen, Wizard of Oz, Willy Wonka, Peter Pan) have become super successful.  Their performances have consistently sold out year after year - so The Warren decided it was time to  perform to a bigger audience.

The Warren are delighted to bring their wonderful magical pantomime Rapunzel to Wyllyotts in 2018 - a tale of a beautiful Princess with the longest hair you can ever imagine trapped in a tower by an evil witch - only a handsome prince can save her. This is a traditional pantomime perfect for the whole family - young and old.

All profits raised from The Warren's shows are donated to local charities.  You can find out more about The Warren at www.thewarren.info

MW: Mark Watson

Fri 2nd Feb  8pm
Tickets: £17

After more than 100 dates on the road in 2016 with his best-reviewed show to date, 'I'm Not Here', and a similarly marathon effort with the previous tour, Mark Watson is amazed to find there are still some areas of the country he's not visited much, and some towns that have been neglected altogether.

It's hard to be everywhere at once, so he's narrowed it down to a sensible plan: for the next tour, Watson will only visit places beginning with M or W, his initials - as they've already shown a commitment by having those names in the first place.

A few of these will be favourite old haunts like Winchester or Manchester, but quite a few of them are the result of Googling and quite a number are so remote that we won't know they definitely exist until we get there. Also, some aren't actually towns so much as trains (from Marylebone to Wycombe), or ferries (across the Mersey), or a helicopter museum (in the double-point-scoring Middle Wallop).

The material will be a mixture of the classic and the never-before-seen. And in some cases a fair bit of it will be about being on a train.
