The award-winning ELODS proudly present this feel good romantic musical-comedy, with music from the brilliant Gershwin brothers. This Tony award winning show is set in the 1930’s and reminiscent of an old Broadway musical: the gloriously glamorous New York Follies meet the spirited Polly and the Cowboys of a struggling gold-mining town where we have a
boy, a girl and a theatre in need of saving!

Although largely based on the songwriting team’s 1930 musical ‘Girl Crazy’ ‘Crazy for You’ includes the most beautiful and popular Gershwin numbers from many other productions such as: ‘Someone To Watch Over Me’ ‘Embraceable You’ and ‘I Got Rhythm’. This popular show is fun, light-hearted and full of energy and will not disappoint!

Tickets: £20

Seconds Out was Genesis' second live album, taken from the band's 1977 tour, which was the source of all songs on the double album (except Cinema Show from the 1976 tour). Crucially, guitarist Steve Hackett left the band during mid-1977 as Seconds Out was being mixed and the band was never the same again.

Los Endos are celebrating the 40th anniversary of this key moment in Genesis history with the whole original set list, plus "Seconds Out – Round Two", additional classic encores to create an unmissable concert!

Hear Genesis music played and sung with a passion and accuracy that is eerily accurate - be warned if you haven’t had a Los Endos experience before! No serious Genesis fan will want to miss this opportunity to travel back in time for a knock-out performance by "probably the best Genesis tribute band in the UK".

Southgate Opera presents
Macbeth

Verdi was a great admirer of Shakespeare, and his powerful opera Macbeth follows Shakespeare’s tragedy of the same title pretty closely (though fans of the bard will notice that the three witches have expanded into a whole chorus).

The hero Macbeth, a successful Scottish general, is spurred on by the witches’ prophecies and by his ambitious wife to disregard his conscience, murder his way to the throne, and become a hated tyrant.  As opposition to his rule gains strength and his wife’s guilt surfaces as mental illness, Verdi’s music portrays the emotions of the characters in urgent dramatic action with an eerie supernatural atmosphere.

Steve Parrish

Thurs 26th Oct  8pm
Tickets: £18.50

Enjoy the life and times of Steve Parrish (Stavros) which provide a completely different, colorful, humorous and, at times daring portrayal of this man’s career.

Steve Parrish raced at the highest level of motorcycle racing, with his highest finish coming in the 1977 500cc Grand Prix season, as team mate to that year’s champion Barry Sheene. Barry who met Steve in 1975 is quoted as saying “if he was to set up his bike as well as his victims and had put as much effort into the bike as he did the intricate pranks he pulled on people he would certainly of been a World Champion.”

Steve then dabbled with sports car racing before moving to truck racing “because it was less painful than riding bikes” where he won 5 European Truck Racing titles.

Steve was the BBC commentator for Moto GP and is now a pundit for BTs coverage of the sport. He has been commentating since 1988, but he is equally famous in the world of motorsport for his pranks, and the real reason for this show.

Joining Steve on stage and leading the proceedings will be Steve’s daughter Frankie, who has lived with her father’s antics and the embarrassment’s that it brings!  This promises to be a fantastically funny evening of true life fun stories!

Kathy Lette

Thurs 2nd Nov  8pm
Tickets:  £16

“Women are each other’s human wonder bras – uplifting, supportive and making each other look bigger and better.” So says Kathy Lette, funny, feminist author, who invites you to her new show, Girls’ Night Out.

It’s a psychological strip tease taking us from Puberty Blues to Menopause Blues, with tales of love, lust, men, marriage, pregnancy, childbirth, mastitis, sexist bosses, teenage-daughter-wrangling, ageing, toy boys, making the Queen laugh, hiding Julian Assange in her attic, tongue kissing Prince William and Close Encounters of the George Clooney Kind, en route.

She also talks poignantly about the trials, tribulations and hilarity of raising a child on the autistic spectrum, from the times Jules came home from school with a sign sticky-taped to his back saying “Kick me I’m a retard" to his success playing Jason on Holby City.

So, grab your girlfriends and come along. Wit, warmth and full frontal frankness, guaranteed. (Men, attend at your own risqué!)

MW: Mark Watson

Sat 20th Jan  8pm
Tickets: £17

After more than 100 dates on the road in 2016 with his best-reviewed show to date, 'I'm Not Here', and a similarly marathon effort with the previous tour, Mark Watson is amazed to find there are still some areas of the country he's not visited much, and some towns that have been neglected altogether.

It's hard to be everywhere at once, so he's narrowed it down to a sensible plan: for the next tour, Watson will only visit places beginning with M or W, his initials - as they've already shown a commitment by having those names in the first place.

A few of these will be favourite old haunts like Winchester or Manchester, but quite a few of them are the result of Googling and quite a number are so remote that we won't know they definitely exist until we get there. Also, some aren't actually towns so much as trains (from Marylebone to Wycombe), or ferries (across the Mersey), or a helicopter museum (in the double-point-scoring Middle Wallop).

The material will be a mixture of the classic and the never-before-seen. And in some cases a fair bit of it will be about being on a train.
